bullet Membership Eligibility

"All male descendants, adopted sons and stepsons of members of The American Legion, and such male descendants of veterans who died in service during World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Lebanon, Granada, Panama, and the Persian Gulf War, during the delimiting periods set forth in Article IV, Section I, of the National Constitution of The American Legion, or who died subsequent to their honorable discharge from such service, shall be eligible for membership in The Sons Of The American Legion.

April 6, 1917 - November 11, 1918

December 7, 1941 - December 31, 1946

June 25, 1950 - January 31, 1955

February 28, 1961 - May 7, 1975

August 24, 1982 - July 31, 1984

December 20, 1989 - January 31, 1990

August 2, 1990 - cessation of hostilities as determined by the US Government
